Hi everyone,

You may have noticed my absence lately....
I've been busy getting ready for the coming Wedding Season and future move to Miami, Florida!
Naturally, I am very excited.
Most important, we have also been making a few changes to the new company... so stay tuned.

Sunday Series #51

The Cure
                                               ~ Ginger Andrews

Lying around all day
with some strange new deep blue
weekend funk, I'm not really asleep
when my sister calls
to say she's just hung up
from talking with Aunt Bertha
who is 89 and ill but managing
to take care of Uncle Frank
who is completely bed ridden.
Aunt Bert says
it's snowing there in Arkansas,
on Catfish Lane, and she hasn't been
able to walk out to their mailbox.
She's been suffering
from a bad case of the mulleygrubs.
The cure for the mulleygrubs,
she tells my sister,
is to get up and bake a cake.
If that doesn't do it, put on a red dress.

blooming forsythia...

I love yellow. I love yellow weddings. Its such a happy color. The color of warm sunlight, daffodils and baby chicks. Though it seems I'm in the minority. Yellow weddings? We do very, very few. I hope someday it will become as popular as purple.... and you can't get more popular than purple.

Extra large (the vase alone 30 inches high) place card table arrangement using
 Forsythia Branches, Yellow Garden Roses, Coral Hypericum berry, Ranunculus,
Hydrangea and a mix of Rosemary, Ferns and greens.

Sunday Series #50

When water is scooped up in the hands,
the moon is reflected in them;
When flowers are handled,
the scent soaks into the robe.

Sunday series #49

love is the every only god

who spoke this earth so glad and big
even a thing all small and sad
man, may his mighty briefness dig

for love beginning means return
seas who could sing so deep and strong

one queerying wave will whitely yearn
from each last shore, and home come young

so truly perfect the skies
by merciful love whispered were,
completes the brightness with your eyes

any illimitable star

Lines Written in Early Spring
  ~ William Wordsworth

I heard a thousand blended notes,
While in a grove I sat reclined,
In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts
Bring sad thoughts to mind.

To her fair works did Nature link
The human soul that through me ran;
And much it grieved my heart to think
What man had made of man.

Through primrose tufts, in that green bower,
The periwinkle trailed its wreaths;
And 'tis my faith that every flower
Enjoys the air it breathes.

The birds around me hopped and played,
Their thoughts I cannot measure-
But the least motion which they made
It seemed a thrill of pleasure.

The budding twigs spread out their fan,
To catch the breezy air;
And I must think, do all I can,
That there was pleasure there.

If this belief from heaven be sent,
If such be Nature's holy plan,
Have I not reason to lament
What man has made of man?
